On August 27,2024, the 50MW / 200 MWh independent shared energy storage project was connected to the grid. This project is the vanadium liquid flow independent shared energy storage project with the largest commercial operation capacity on the power grid side in China, and also the first vanadium liquid flow battery energy storage project of CNNC.
As the first vanadium liquid flow battery energy storage project of CNNC, the scale of the first-phase energy storage project is 50MW / 200 MWh. The project is located in Shandan County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province. Under the difficult environmental conditions, many staff members never give up, seize the key path to jointly formulate the response plan, creating a "good result" of capping the structure of the supporting booster station of the project 15 days in advance, and ensuring the smooth progress of the subsequent construction progress.
The operation of this project greatly reduces the overall cost of the power system, effectively solves the problem of abandoning wind and light abandonment, and improves the operation efficiency and reliability of the power grid.
